Snack Bar Sales Associate

Below is information related to the snack bar application process. Please read all requirements very carefully and make sure that your application includes all of the requested information. Due to the tight time frames involved, we will need everyone to comply with the deadlines laid out below.

Basic Requirements 

1. Minimum age of 14 by June

2. New York State Employment Certificate (Working Papers) - This document is required for applicants who have NOT reached the age of 18 and needs to be obtained through the appropriate state authorities. https://dol.ny.gov/working-papers

3. Social security number.

4. Availability: Preference will be given to applicants who are available to work for the entire 8 week sailing season

Required Duties 

Snack bar sales associates will be required to perform the following:

1. Maintaining professionalism while interacting with customers.

2. Taking and filing orders, processing money transactions, making change and properly recording all transactions.

3. Preparing hot food items through use of a microwave oven and toaster oven. 4. Maintaining proper sanitary standards at all times.

4. Maintaining lists of items sold and assisting in inventory reporting.

5. Attention to detail, responsibility, and maturity.

Please provide the following information: (1) a brief description your skills and experience that are relevant to the above duties; (2) any days or weeks that you will NOT be available to work; (3) any restrictions on weekday availability, ie: list any times that you will NOT be available due to either sailing lessons or any other activity.
